Spring's Best Bet: The Trank Dress

You may think the most versatile piece of clothing in your closet is your jeans, or your favorite go to blazer.  Probably every lady has a tank dress of some kind in their closet, that doesn't get nearly the amount of attention it deserves.

It is most often considered a piece for casual dress.  With  the right styling it can work for the office, the beach, or for a night out on the town.  Tank dresses are usually reserved for the summer months, but spring is a great time to break them out as well.

If the temperatures are cooler in spring where you live( definitely the case here in the Seattle area), then you can definitely layer up with different pieces to stay warmer.  I happened to get out on a warm day, and no additional layering was needed.  I added a low pair of wedge sandals a small cross body bag for a casual chic look.

3 Ways to style a Tank Dress:

1) Pair it with a denim shirt:  Then grab your favorite pair of sneakers to add some casual pizzaz

2) Wear it with your favorite blazer:  Add your favorite pair of heels and big ole handbag, now you are ready for the office or a fun weekend!

3)  Layer it under something festive and fun:  A faux leather skirt is great to wear over tank dress. If the dress a little long, it can be pulled out at the waist for a blouse look . This look can work for evening by adding fancy strappy heels, and bold jewelry pieces.  A perfect look for happy hour or night out with your sweetie!

Do you like to wear tank dresses for spring? Or do you only wear them for summer?
I am so excited Spring has finally arrived and the temperatures are finally heating up a little!

Sorry I have been MIA lately. I read a blog the other day called "Not Yet Dead Style", Ha I'm not dead yet, but middle age can sure throw some curves. My rotator cuff was on fire from continuous computer use, and so I had to listen to my body and take a rest.  It's really good to be back on the blog I have missed being here .  Thanks for taking time to stop by!

  3. Dresses are always my go-to! Easy and fairly effortless, they always look a bit more dressy that jeans and you didn't really do anything extra except shave!
