Neiman Marcus Trend Show: Spring's Big Ideas

Hey friends, can someone please tell Seattle the calendar says spring!?  Even if you are still in the midst of cold winter weather like us, you can still get your closet ready! Clean it out and fill it up some more!

The ultimate list of what to wear now was revealed at the spring trend show at Neiman Marcus Bellevue at the Bravern. It was my first time to attend an event there, and it was exquisite from beginning til end. I had a very exciting night viewing the trend show, and checking out this beautiful store. It was also great to catch up with my local blogger friends!

Destination "big ideas" right from the runway. Every piece seemed to make a unique statement, it was head turning fashion for sure!

The What to Wear Now List:

Ruffles and Flounces:

The Frill factor is big on the runway this year.  Anything with frills, ruffles,  and flounces is all the rage.  Bell Sleeves, ruffled sleeves and fronts etc- make an individual statement with this romantic trend.

Neutral Territory:

Soft spoken, enchanting, and calming neutrals work well with minimalistic style. Olive is often paired with these hues- it's the new black.

Shirting Redefined:

Menswear being reworked with subtle suggestiveness. This trend is popular street style wardrobe, top the must have lists. It's a perfect way to show off a lil shoulder. I have to say this trend is tops on my list this spring!

Fully Loaded:

We are talking everything embellished, decorated, and admired from afar. All the rules are being broken by mixing prints, patterns, lace, and embroidery.  Hello to luxurious fabrics, adorned bags, and attention grabbing jewelry.

Peekaboo Shoulder and Legs:

It's open season to show a little, or show a lot. Off the shoulder and cold shoulder styles are sophisticated classiness, with a little edge.

Other eye catching trends covered were: The Mini Bag, Slips & Slides, Stripes, Tropical Prints, and Destroyed Denim. I absolutely loved it all! It's not often I say that at a trend show- spring this year is going to be amazing for styling outfits!

Has Spring arrived at your house yet?  Hopefully you are basking in warm temperatures already.  Soak up some sun for me and send it this way!

Stay Stylish,

  1. There are some really cute items, I love all the ruffles and the black and cream stripped pants. I don't think I can ever get use to guy's wearing calf pants.
