* This post is in collaboration with Bellevue Life Spring. I was given a merchandise credit to shop in the store in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.
Happy Midweek Friends,
Last Wednesday I was invited to preview the grand reopening of Bellevue Life Spring's thrift store:
" Thrift Culture " at Bellevue Square. I was really excited to attend this event, and to hear about the mission of this awesome organization, that gives back all proceeds to the community.
A Culture of Giving
The Lifespring thrift store, was formerly located on the 1st floor of the Bellevue Square Mall. It has been a mainstay in the community for several decades, and a hub for giving to help less fortunate
children in the area. The named was changed to reflect the culture of of giving and neighbors helping each other.
The boutique has now moved to the 3d floor of the mall, and you can "thrift on three". The store is now located along side Bellevue Life's Spring flagship offices.
Style for Everyone
I was really impressed by the quality of the clothes and accessories available for purchase.
There is something for everyone Even the guys can get their style fix at Thrift Culture! The littlest peeps in the family can also find toys, books, and cute outfits to dress up.
Donate:
There are several ways to get involved and help push forward the vision of Bellevue Life Spring: Monetary pledges, volunteering, donating gently used clothing, and adopting a family at holiday time.
Sometimes we have no idea the far reaching impact of our donations and giving back to the community!
LifeSpring's thrift store first opened in 1939. It started out as a little sewing shop where garments were upcycled and sold to support the new store. Kemper Freeman Sr. of the Kemper Foundation, contributed back then and turned Bellevue Life Spring into a 70 year legacy. He promised to rent the space for 1.00 per year when it opened, and has never increased the rent since. This generous gift allows the shop to donate all of its profits to help serve families with children.
Shop til you Drop
I was over the moon happy to be one of the first to check out the store and shop! I was like a kid in a candy store, and had a hard time narrowing down my choices! I did finally choose and came home with 3 fantastic pieces to add to my fall wardrobe. Stay tuned, I will be sharing new outfit posts soon!
I would like to thank Bellevue Life Spring and Naomi for inviting me out to the grand opening of Thrift Culture! It was an honor to be part of the celebration and meet to meet the team, who are making a difference for families in Bellevue everyday.
It's so fun to shop for fashion at a thrift store, you can find the most unique treasures. It's even better when you can shop for a cause! WHERE ARE YOUR FAVORITE PLACES TO FIND THRIFTED GOODS? Thanks for stopping by,
