Fashion Friday: End Of Summer Outfit Round Up

Fashion Friday: End of Summer Outfit Round Up

September is an exciting month for the fashion industry. It is fashion extravaganza happening all over the globe. Several fashion weeks are taking place over the next few weeks.

I 'm bummed I won't make it to fashion week in New York. It is happening now, I hope to go next time. Fortunately we have an amazing fashion week here Sept 20-24 : Bellevue Fashion Week.  Tickets are still available, but they do go fast. Stay tuned for coverage on my insta-stories and on the blog.

Fall is on the way, although it does not feel like it much here in WA! We are still basking in 80 degree temps. Although we do need a good rain to wash away yuck in the air from the raging wildfires. Extended summer is always a hit with  me. Although I do love wearing fall clothes, and the excitement of the switch up of trends for the next season.

Since it is the end of summer, I decided to share a roundup of  my favorite looks. These are ones I didn't get time to post earlier, July and August were crazy busy.

I absolutely love this dress!  It's been ages since I owned a sheath dress, they are great for showing your curves. The  fabric on this one was so forgiving, nice and stretchy to hide any imperfections!

This dress is quite special, as I won it at a giveaway this summer when I was in L.A. for the Fierce 50  Blogger Meet Up. The designer was so gracious and kind to donate several dresses for the event. The Manna Dabholkar Collection is so beautiful and classy. I was so grateful she shared her amazing designs with us!

I styled the dress with peep toed mules and two different handbags. It's amazing how changing up your accessories produces a whole new vibe. I love DIY, and sewing when ever I get time. The orange floral bag I made for a friend, and used it for the shoot. It is one you can whip up in an hour.

Who doesn't love a striped dress for summer?!? This one from Cotton On, is super comfortable and I am in love with cold shoulder sleeves! I think my closet is now on overload with cold shoulder.. ha!

Block heels also have been a favorite of mine this year, these mules had me at hello! Urban Outfitters had them on sale. Both the dress and shoes were purchased on my travels to CA, the shopping there is always amazing,

Rompers are a lot of fun for summer, and the print on this one is so cute. It works great for a transition piece for fall, just throw on a jean jacket when the temps drop.  I actually found it at
Thrift Culture in  Bellevue Square. Check it out if you are in the area!

I love that this boutique gives back to the local community: by donating 100 percent of the proceeds to children in need. The bag is also thrifted from Good will, and the block heels are from Marshalls.

I hope you have fun weekend plans!  I am excited for tonight- The Shop Style Collective Team  is in town for Create and Cultivate, and I was invited to a meet up they are having downtown Seattle. I'm looking forward to some fun networking and meeting new friends!

  9. Hello Valerie: I discovered your blog over at Everything Just So link up, and wanted to say hello, and that I enjoy your sense of style. I also live in a rainy winter climate--near Portland, OR--and I will look forward to see some of your outfits for the rainy season. I have a hard time finding clothes that are cute and yet don't get destroyed in the rain! I also love that you are into fashion and also sew--very cool! I sew a bit as well--because I am short and petite, I often have to shorten hems and take in waists on clothing so it fits me. Thanks and have a lovely autumn day!
