Marriott Pinnacle Hotel: Why it's ideal for a stay in Vancouver
Local Cuisine & Spirits Onsite
The Showcase is conveniently located across from the lobby in the Marriott. Grab breakfast at the buffet before setting out for a day of sightseeing. The menu features delicious international cuisine .
Showcase restaurant and Bar, has an airy vibe with classy decor. Lunch, dinner, happy hour and late night happy hour are available to enjoy. Pacific Northwest dishes are served, including sustainable seafood.
A Quiet, Comfortable Lobby
Even though there were guests were coming and going, the lobby was a quiet reprieve from the busyness outside the hotel. There are a few cozy areas to rest, take a breather and enjoy the beautiful scenery around the hotel. A media center is also located in the sitting area to the right of the lobby should you need a computer. Refreshing fruit water is complimentary for all guests any time of day.
Gorgeous Rooms with Stunner Views
We stayed up on the 28th Floor. Wow oh wow, what a view ! I've never experienced Vancouver from this high up: truly a special treat! The night time views are incredible as well.
The rooms are stylishly designed with all the comforts of home at your fingertips. A beautiful white robe and slippers will have you in relaxation mode right quick! The pillow top beds were delightfully comfortable, and we slept great. The bathroom was spacious and had plenty of counter space: which is important to us ladies!
Top Tourist Attractions Nearby
Vancouver is one of the best cities in the world to experience the best of natural wonders and other show stopping attractions. The Marriott's close proximity to several iconic destinations, make it the ideal location for travelers. Many of the "must see" spots in Vancouver; are located within a few blocks from the hotel.
Canada Place
The sight of the majestic white sails will have you in awe for several minutes. After you pick your jaw up off the ground: stroll around this beautiful venue situated on Burrard Inlet. Canada Place is home to the Vancouver Convention Centre, Pan Pacific Hotel, Vancouver's World Trade Centre and the Virtual Flight Ride: Fly over Canada. The walk to here is 5 minutes from the Marriott.
Harbor Sea Planes
This is one of Canada's most authentic West Coast experience! It's an incredible way to witness where the city, mountains and water meet. A popular choice among tourists: you'll be flying high over one of the most scenic cites in the world. Imagine breathtaking aerial views of the downtown skyline and popular landmarks in Vancouver. The planes also travel to Vancouver Island and other small islands close by. The office on the dock is down the steps from Canada Place.
Stanley Park
This park is one of my favorite memories of growing up in the Vancouver area. The park is the perfect outdoor adventure and has something for everyone. A bike ride or walk around the seawall, is an experience you won't soon forget. The bikes are available to rent near the Seaplane dock. They can be rented by the hour and are very inexpensive. The rental office is located underneath the Canada Place plaza.
Stanley Park has several activities for kids as well. Puppet shows, a fountain park and the aquarium will keep the family entertained for hours.
English Bay
This is the main bay in Vancouver and is a go to spot for tourists and locals. You can easily walk here from the Marriott. It's a 15-20 minute walk up the hill, start your trek on Thurlow St. It's especially crowded in the summer. You can swim here too, well...for 2 months of the year you can! English bay is situated on the west end of Vancouver, next to Stanley Park. The views here are outrageous.
Is that a palm peaking out on the right side of the photo?! Oh yes there are palm trees downtown Vancouver, imagine that! I'm sure the heat lamps are on full time duty to keep them alive during the winter. A few steps away from Enlgish Bay is Denman Street, a food lover's paradise. Every type of cuisine you dream of eating is there.

Robson Street
Calling all foodies and fashionistas to Robson Street! Put on your walking shoes, blue suede shoes or whatever you have: this street goes on forever. It's packed with over 100 restaurants, coffee shops and restaurants. Robson Street is the epicenter of Downtown Vancouver's shopping district. From the ideal location of the Marriott Hotel in Vancouver: Robson Street is less than a 10 minute walk. You will pass it on the way to English Bay. On my morning walk, I discovered Laurence & Chico , a stylish cafe on Bute. It wasn't open yet, so I grabbed a cuppa jo and a pastry at Breka Bakery across the street. Bute is a short side street off of Robson, for pedestrians only.
If you are planning a trip to Vancouver, I hope you will check in at the Marriott. It will meet all your needs and more. The location of the Marriott is ideal for your stay in Vancouver. The hotel also offers services such as space for meetings, weddings and other special events.
Thanks to the Marriott Hotel Staff for outstanding hospitality, and Marilaine Delisle for collaborating on the photo shoot.
