Merry Christmas!Just a few more days and Santa Clause will be making a stop at your house with a bag full of loot! Hopefully none of you lovely people are on his naughty list!
Better than the bag of loot, are the memories you make with friends and family. The last few years I favor holiday experiences over giving and receiving gifts. Today I'm unwrapping the gift of ENCHANT : The most magical holiday extravaganza for all ages to enjoy.
ENCHANT MISCHIEVOUS
What is Enchant: It's a Christmas market and the world's largest light maze, located at T- Mobile Park downtown Seattle. This year's theme for the lit up city is " Mischievous." The seasonal extravaganza is magical in every way and perfect for all ages. Grab your friends or family and come on down for the time of your life!Experiences at Enchant
Live Entertainment
As you enter the stadium, start the evening off by listening to the melodious carolers. Soon you will be feeling quite festive and ready for all the fun inside the maze.
Interactive Light Maze
Enter at your own risk, or be strangled by the lights... ha ha not really! The square maze of hanging lights is an absolute blast. Get lost in the delight of it all and then try to find your way out. This activity is especially fun for little kids and big ones too. This part of the maze was definitely my favorite of the night. The rest of the gang were lost somewhere behind me having fun.
Christmas Market & Food
Are you a foodie who likes to try out new dishes? This is the place to eat up! There are many delicious eats to cater to every type of craving! Pizza, wings, fish n chips, clam chowder and more choices await you. We decided to eat at Southwest Quesadilla, it was quite yummy. There are also a few booths to purchase holiday gifts and souvenirs for your loved ones.
Larger than Life Trees and Ornaments
The beautiful colors and lights will entertain for hours. Once you finish the maze and all the activities, you can head to Santa's Landing to grab a few photos with Jolly Old St. Nick. This service is free if you use your own phone . There are professional photo packages available, if you so choose.
Ice Skating
Skate your way around the middle of the big maze, as you take in the panoramic views of the entire city of Enchant. If skating is your favorite winter sport, check it out. I decided to stay off the ice and watch everyone else having a good time. There is no extra charge to skate, but you do have to pay to rent the skates: 10.00 per person.
Scavenger Hunt
Enchant has almost 100,000 square feet of Christmas lights, along with a 100 foot lighted pine tree in the center of the maze. As you enter you will be greeted by two live toy soldiers . They will ask if you want to participate in a fun scavenger hunt.
Apparently Santa is missing a bunch of gifts he plans to deliver: and he needs your help finding them. Make your way through the maze by searching for the life size characters such as the purple doll. Each time you find a character, scratch it off the card and carry on to find the next. After you have found them all, head to the end of the maze to claim a sweet treat.
Fabulous Photo Opportunities
The opportunities for photos and selfies inside the maze are endless. This heart wreath is the cutest and makes the perfect backdrop to explore your creativity. The gigantic sleigh was a perfect ending to a magical night. I'd recommend finding the sled in the lobby when you arrive, in case you are too tired at the end of the night. Also available at Enchanted: are add on experiences. These are in addition to the general admission price. If you find yourself in Seattle this holiday I do hope you will visit Enchant. The event runs through December 29th. A world of Christmas wonder awaits!
I wish all of you a blessed holiday season and very prosperous New Year.
